My client is looking to recruit a permanent Solution Developer.
This role requires a talented developer who is comfortable and confident communicating across all levels of the business. The candidate must take on the responsibility for software quality, performance and security while regularly keeping the business or development manager up to speed on risks and progress. The successful candidate will have an excellent breadth of technical knowledge and communication skills evident under pressure and tight deadlines. This role would particularly suit a strongly technical developer with 2-4 years experience, and an eye for good UI design in .Net.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the design and development on concurrent Extranet/Intranet/Internet Web-based B2B solutions
Implement integrated solutions using Web Service technology within a Service Orientated Architecture (SOA)
Work through the development lifecycle, from business requirements to construction & deployment
Manage source control and own change control quality standards
Maintain a library of reusable components and functions and communicate their usage to other team members through documentation
Provide third line technical support for both internal and external developments
Knowledge
Excellent .NET Framework with ASP & VB.net skills
Excellent OOAD & OOP skills
Web Services and understanding of SOA
Proficiency with UML (Use Cases, Activity Diagrams, Object Models)
Working knowledge of Classic ASP, JavaScript, Ajax, CSS, HTML/DHTML, XML and RAD controls.
A good knowledge of databases, modelling and design.
Understanding of security for windows and web applications
Understanding of deployment to staging and production environments

Requires ability to deliver high quality work in a fast paced environment within a dynamic company.
The ability to grow and learn in a rapidly evolving and profitable company.
The ability to multi task and develop on a variety of platforms and have strong working knowledge of use cases, user centred design
The ability to work within a team and share knowledge of systems and technologies.
When called upon to lead, must lead by example and gain the respect of his/her peers.
